Richard Fischer successfully defended his doctoral thesis on 20. November 2020. His dissertation is titled “Functional interrelations of governance elements and their effects on tropical deforestation - combining qualitative and quantitative approaches”. The work was carried out in cooperation between Thünen Institute and the University of Göttingen. 50 experts, colleagues and friends participated in the online disputation.
